The degree course aims to provide the students , then graduates in the class, the advanced level of knowledge and multidisciplinary methodological skills in the socio-political institutional, economic, legal , managerial disciplines which are adequate for the training of professionals with skills for high level planning, organization and business development of qualified public and private services, in particular in the fields of business administration and management, work organization and human resources , deviance , security , prevention , defence and social control , as well as trade union policies, and in the policies for equal opportunities and the protection of consumers. The course therefore aims to train the senior management of both the Public Administration bodies , companies and private SMEs as well as professionals and managers who act in the field and are able to relate to and to mediate and so much with the PA than with individuals. Graduates will also be able to operate at a high level within the public and private administration according to the principles of legality and ethics . They will be able to promote and implement activities and initiatives of public and private intervention through the proper functioning of administrations and improving the quality of services aimed at economic and social development of the territory at regional and local level but also within a European and international perspective according to criteria of effectiveness, efficiency and economy. The knowledge gained will enable graduates of the course to interpret, plan, manage the processes of change taking place in public administrations and in the services and resources organizations. To achieve these objectives, the course is organized with specific teachings that require the acquisition of specialist skills in key areas of administration and to provide a critical comparative and practical analysis of issues related to the administration in the public and private sectors. The course will provide teachings with content such as statistical analysis of the data , political economy (local companies and international markets) , European administrative law , emerging governance models, criminal law of public administration, general and economic sociology, labor law . To characterize and unify the setting of the various teachings is their placement in a comparative perspective and the use of the most current literature. In addition , it is required to graduates in Science of Administration and complex organizations to be able to use in written and oral form, at least one of the languages of the European Union with reference also specialist vocabulary ( for this purpose, in addition to the possibility of language training as extra-curricular activity, the course may use instruction manuals, texts, documents and materials in a foreign language). These language skills are an access requirement; for English language a level B1 is required. For a better practical learning and also to accelerate the entry into the world of work, the course includes specific training activities at public and private, national or foreign external organizations, based on agreements of the University with public institutions and professional organizations concerned. In this context it is worth highlighting the collaboration with local public authorities and organizations , companies and businesses also to the detection of specific programs of education and training . The training culminates in the preparation and defence of an original written dissertation, prepared under the guidance of a supervisor from among the teachers of the Faculty at the end of a guided path of planning, research or case study, where candidates may demonstrate their mastery of the subjects , the knowledge of at least one foreign language , the ability to work independently and a good level of communication.
Profile: Compliance expert and compliance officer in public and private organizations Functions: Governance of the integrated processes of public and private organizations to promote and implement articulated forms of compliance also in the framework of the innovation of management control and development strategies of the reference organizations, Development of programs aimed at developing the intervention of organizations in the social and economic fabric. More specifically, professionals will be able to (a) fit into the decision-making context of public and private organizations, providing input and knowledge on the management of organizational, financial and human resources; (b) implement the practical aspects of administrative, financial and human resources management of the administration - also by developing organizational change programs - to improve performance levels at the individual group, organizational and community levels; (c) governing the implementation processes of the organization, management and control models ex. Legislative Decree 231/01; (d) manage the tax risk faced by public and private organizations, both internationally and at national level. Skills: Ability to manage, control, evaluate, activate relational dynamics, to make decisions in a complex context. Senior management of reference organizations; external consultancy of a global nature for public and private organizations. Competences in juridical-penal, administrative, fiscal, organizational-managerial, psychosocial and corporate subjects. Career opportunities: New professional figure of the expert in compliance for the management of corporate risks of public and private organizations on multiple administrative, criminal, tax and civil law matters. Senior official of state administrations and public bodies. Senior official in the banking and insurance sectors. Managers of organizational units of private companies in the innovative and strategic sectors of economic development. Subjects possessing the skills to access managerial careers in Public Administrations as well as in the State Police. Profile: Top officials and consultants in strategic sectors of public and private organizations Functions: High-level collaboration within management structures of reference organizations; participation in the elaboration of government programs in collaboration with the top management. The acquisition of competences in the juridical-penal, administrative, organizational-managerial, psychosocial and business subjects enables graduates to enter professionally in the sector of business consultancy with particular reference: (a) to the elaboration and implementation of organization, management and control models as per Legislative Decree 231/01; (b) to provide technical support to the judicial administrations of the assets and companies seized and confiscated from organized crime. Furthermore, graduates will be able to collaborate with the managers of the Company Board in order to: (c) suggest strategies to assess the quality of strategic decisions related to the management of organizational, financial and human resources; (d) collaborate to the identification of effective practices of organizational, financial and human resources management for the development of organizational change programs; (e) provide consultancy on the practices of organizational, financial and human resources management, in order to improve performance at a level of group, organizational and community analysis. Skills: The main competences are of a juridical nature (knowledge of EU and national regulations aimed at administrative management), political science nature (skills of analysis and evaluation of administrative policies), sociological nature (understanding of needs and new models of society) and economic nature (dimension of sustainability in the framework of a general contraction of available resources). The final examination consists of the and discussion of an original written dissertation, prepared under the guidance of a supervisor chosen among the professors of the Faculty, at the end of a guided path of planning, research or case study. The final examination is awarded with 19-24 credits. The presence of such an interval depends on an agreement with the University of Hanoi, for one of the course curricula. These 24 credits, together with 6 credits for context activities, allow students to dedicate the entire second semester of the second year to these two activities.
